This guitar was made for Michael by David Lipkin and Haim Algranati at LA Guitars in London. It is one hundred percent handbuilt.

The Guitar:
This guitar has an enormous bass response without sounding boomy. It has a very strong mid-range which gives the melody lines (usually played on the top two strings) a real "thickness" more akin to nylon string guitars than steel string. The guitar also has more clarity than any guitar I've ever played.

The pickup:
I use the LR Baggs M1 Active.
It is a humbucker with internal "body sensors" that pick up the top of the guitar's vibrations. This gives the guitar a very 3 dimensional sound when plugged in.
I am currently still experimenting with internal mics.
